Good morning,
The markets are closed today for Good Friday, but had a solid rally yesterday. The Dow, S&P 500 and the NASDAQ gained 286, 40 and 63 points, respectively. The Dow alone gained 12.7% in the holiday-shortened week.
Of concern to the markets is that next week several key companies are reporting earnings which will in no doubt be the drivers of stock performance. Also of interest is part 4 of the economic stimulus package which did not make it out of the Senate yesterday.
With solid progress being made toward the development of a treatment for coronavirus, the conversation is shifting to getting people back to work. In all likelihood, getting the economy back up and running will be a “crawl, walk, run” series of events.
Enjoy your long Easter weekend. Please stay safe and healthy.
